In Dabble DB, each field is linked to a particular category. Normally, you add new fields by choosing which category they should belong to.

There are several ways of adding new fields.

The easiest way to add new fields is while you are editing an entry in a particular category.

At the bottom of the entry editor, there is a label Add Field to cateogory: followed by a link for each category that the entry is in. Click one of these links to add a new field.

In the video below, please note that the appearance of the functions has been changed slightly since the making of this screencast. Don’t be scared.

If there are no entries in a category, then the easiest way to add fields is to create the first entry.

Click on the “New Field” link.

When you Import data, you will have the opportunity to create new fields for each column of data.
